Mister Silhouette & Miss Shadow

I think that a good exercise in Street-Photography is to take pictures of silhouettes & shadows. First of all: shadows are better at sundown or sunrise because they are longer that in other times of the day. The second tip is to go in the same place just at those times of day because the shadows are very different and the scenes can be better. In any case patience must be our preferred “weapon”: we can find a good mix between shadows and lights but we have to wait for the right subject! At the end: don’t forget to expose for the lights…better using spot-meter and locking the measure…so when your subject is coming we are ready for the snap.

Street Humour

Today no words…in a city there is always something funny to capture 🙂 The main tips are: patience and attention. It’s very important (in most cases) the ability to “preview” an action…or to “build up” a scene.

The Thief

When I saw the poster, I got the idea to put there my bag: in the city be careful to your bags!

The Exhibitionist

Thanks to my friend for help me in the “build” of the picture 🙂

A very graceful girl

I waited for a long time to take this picture….because I know the habits of (all) men in front of a lovely girl 🙂

Declaration of love

On the wall: “Puppy I love you”

Love for Arts

Very love!

The smoker

Smoking is dangerous! ( I like to play with posters .. of course the tip is: patience: wait for the right subject)

Actual family

On account of me, they were chatting among themselves!

After my drone in the air…return to the earth: under the sky of East Berlin.

In my last posts I paid attention to my drone…I want to “come down” the earth..and to Street-photography: around the city of East-Berlin. I tried to look for the ancient atmospheres, old colors of the city before the Fall of the Berlin Wall. I used my Fujifilm X100…a very good camera for Street Photography. Lightroom for editing.

Likeness,similarity & analogy

I like photographs where there are likeness, not only in a direct way but also in different conjugations. You know that I’m stingy with words…so a picture is worth a thousand words….so please see the following examples 🙂  In this pictures the likeness & similarities are clear: I insert some highlights to indicate what captured my attention.

A difficult choice?

Some time ago I was walking on the Walls of the city of Lucca and I saw a very interesting place. As you can see in the pictures below there are geometry and simmetry:

So I decided to wait for a human presence: in the street-photography people are essential for a good picture. I took a lot of photos with my Fujifilm X100T before to find the “best one”.

Analysis of a good street point of view

On monday morning ( during my usual Street-Photographic tour ) I found an interesting place: an underpass:

For me it was interesting because there were 2 reflection points and 2 prospetive lines:

Do you like a threesome?

A good exercise for street photograpy is to take an argument, also a little or, at the first sight, meaningless topic and develop it. In this case I chose the number 3…that is to say…a threesome 🙂

I saw three windows and I waited for three persons
