Geometry: simmetry

I was in the street (as usual!) when I saw an interesting scene…and it could be perfect for a simmetry composition. I had only to wait for the right moment. So I put my camera in front of my stomach ( to avoid that the two men saw me ) and I started to take photos.

Unhappy Luna Park

I don’t like to take photos in a “standard way”: it’s very easy to go photograph the sea during the summer, while it’s more difficult do it in winter ( and not in Black&White … uuufffff such a banality!! I like B&W but the sea during winter in black&White is a very commonplace.  Following this “philosophy” some years ago I decided to take photos in a desert Luna Park during a rainy day

Geometric Street photography

Hello, yestarday I was looking at an historical palace because there was on its wall an intersting shadow, when I saw a girl that was walking along that wall…I noticed that there was an intersting geometric similitude between the street-lamp’s shadow and the girl’s trolley…so I started to take (a lot of ) photos. Please see here my little photographic story…and the final result.

Geometric aerial photographs

I found a new kind of photograph: aerial photography. Of course I have seen a lot of that genre of photos, but I have never practiced it. But now I have a drone…and so…go ahead to discover this new universe!!

As a first step I’I started to looking for geometric figures ( and not landscape at now ):

…and of course, there also has to be a video!!

My first ( and last? ) drone.

Ok, now I have a drone. I’ll stop with “traditional” photography??

Not at all! I think this is a very good tool to have a different point of view 🙂 and, as you know, in photography is very important change the way we are shooting.

Now I’ll be in search of a good landscape to shot from the sky. This is my first video: the countryside of the city of Lucca, we are in the famous so-called “wine and oil road” in Tuscany.

A good exercise: play with differences.

As I said in another post, a good exercise in Street Photography is to look for similarity , But the opposite is also true: looking for differences:

Small sizes…and…large sizes..

Stay always on the scene

When we find a good moment/scene to catch, we cannot stop at the first shot..we have to stay there to wait for other moments. In this case I found the result of a good chess move: before and after. Of course I asked the players a permission to take photos. Two images that must to be toghether like a very short film!
